Barbrook is a mile or so south-west of Lynton, at the junction of the steep direct road up from Lynton and Lynmouth with the main A39 Lynmouth to Barnstaple road. Click on each of the thumbnail images to see a larger version of the photos.
I should perhaps explain that, unlike the turbanned rider, the figure leading the elephant by its trunk is not a scarecrow but my son-in-law, who owns the "creature"!
This series of pictures shows Barbrook Post Office and garden on the left, then a closer view of the garden, followed by close-ups of Little Bo-Peep and of the sign visible at bottom right of the garden. The Tin Man (from the Wizard of Oz) seen below, located opposite the Post Office garden, also belongs to the Postmaster and Postmistress.
